Album Review with Doreen Holland

The delightful strains of “Hello Doreen” introduce an hour of music and chat that looks behind the CD cover to learn something more about the artist or the composer or whatever seems most interesting about an album.

The music is generally jazz or jazz-based, vocal or instrumental, and can come from hot-off-the-press latest releases or the great recordings from last century. Doreen particularly enjoys hearing the younger performers of today taking the marvellous standards from yesterday and giving them renewed life.

But no matter what, you can be sure that Mr Sinatra will make regular appearances on the program. And there could also be some opinionated comment on Sports from time to time.
