Station Manager – Community Radio

2NSB is one of Australia’s top five community radio stations, broadcasting on FM 99.3 Mhz to Sydney’s North Shore. We broadcast from a technically advanced studio in Chatswood that is supported by a great technical team.  

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to support and manage our station in the role of Station Manager.      

The Station Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the Station and for ensuring that the Station broadcasts quality programs that meet the needs of the listening and target audience and that we comply with the Station’s Broadcast License and to the Broadcast Services Act.  

The Station Manager also ensures that:

  • The station engages with its community, sponsors and external stakeholders.
  • The station is appropriately marketed and branded.
  • Revenue targets are met.
  • Expenditure is within approved budget.
  • Presenters, volunteers and staff are trained and developed.
  • A culture is created within the Station that is inclusive, enabling and responsive to the changing needs of the Stations stakeholders. 

The successful applicant will have well developed business management skills, be a people person and have some experience with community/voluntary organisations.  Advertising and/or marketing experience and experience in media and/or broadcasting would be an advantage. 

Remuneration will include a base salary, performance based incentive and superannuation.
